Ronnie is a homeless man that lives in the Bloorcourt area. He is a kind and very positive person. He needs a place to stay. I'm not sure we can help with everything but even giving this man the smallest of breaks would probably go a long way. Please donate generously! The money will go towards food, necessities and hopefully first and last rent if we can find him something, it has to be in the bloorcourt area as this is where his support system is.
DONATION INFO:
$650 left (edited as money comes in) has been raised because you all cared enough to make that happen for someone you barely know! Please keep sharing and donating. You’re all seriously the best.
We have done his taxes and more money should be coming in!
Money so far has gone towards…
$50 A&W Gift Card - $50 Tim Hortins Giftcard - $290 cash. - $115 - Wet wipes, cheetos, and chewy choc chip cookies, jogging pants and a sweater and some water. - $25 radio/flashlight
People have donated clothes and have been so helpful with all the info. Sleeping bag clothes and a portable dvd player has been donated. Ronnie says thank you!
What I need still:
After talking to him it’s become fairly clear he’s afraid of getting his arm looked at (its dis-located) however, he told me he would think about it so I’m putting that on the back burner for now until he tells me what he wants to do.
Moving forward:
He suggested putting the rest of the money towards first and last for a room, he can maintain that he just can’t afford first and last.
I’m looking into helping sign him up for government money and I’m trying to find out what would happen if he did his taxes cause he could get a bunch of money from that too. I’m also getting him I.D. and hopefully an ohip card.
If you know of any rooms for rent that are $650 or less please get in touch especially if it’s a safe place for Ronnie to stay that you know people will care about him and look out for him. He’s afraid of the shelters because he doesn’t want to be around drugs or drinking as it is a slippery slope which is totally understandable.
He needs to be in Toronto's west end as this is where his support system is, I found him a place but it was too far for him. So we shall continue looking.
Here is the donation link again, sharing is caring!
